On February 4 Arte Fiera will host the presentation of the new Fondazione Massimo e Sonia Cirulli, which will open to the public in the coming months in San Lazzaro di Savena, in a 1960 historic building designed by the Castiglioni brothers for the design firm Simon Gavina. The talk will discuss the development of this new cultural landmark departing from the history of its rich archival and artistic collection. With a focus on the birth of Italian modernity, the history of the "Made in Italy" concept, and the years of the postwar economic boom, the Fondazione intends to promote the knowledge and appreciation of 20th century Italian visual culture; furthermore, it aims at creating an international research center dedicated to the history of Italian visual culture and its constant spirit of innovation.
