The Massimo and Sonia Cirulli Archive participated in the exhibition Architecture in Uniform / Architettura in Uniforme. Designing and building for the Second World War, dedicated to architectural research during the war period, with an original section on Italian urban architectural projects and one on autarchic inventions in the field of fashion.

The exhibition, created by the Canadian Centre for Architecture in Montreal, was adapted by the Cité de l'Architecture et du patrimoine for Paris and by Maxxi for the Italian version, documenting the incredible research and experimentation produced in Italy and around the world in the years of World War II.

The exhibition, curated by Jean-Louis Cohen, narrates through movies, original documents, historical journals, vintage photographs, maquettes, the story of some of the most interesting projects of that period with a focus on important innovations and discoveries in the field of architectural design and construction engineering.
