The Fondazione Massimo e Sonia Cirulli is thrilled to take part in the Museo Salvatore Ferragamo exhibition, 1927. Il ritorno in Italia. Honoring the 90th anniversary of Salvatore Ferragamo’s return to Italy from the United States, the exhibition narrates the creative path of a major protagonist of Italian high craftsmanship. Ferragamo’s career began across the Atlantic, with extraordinary products that made him famous as the “shoemaker for the stars”, and that from 1927 continued in Florence.

The exhibition illustrates the social and cultural climate of the interwar years, a time in which visual culture found its greatest application in the applied arts. Graphic design, industrial design, fashion, architecture, and photography from the 1920s constitute artistic expressions well documented by the archive of the Fondazione Cirulli, which is pleased to collaborate once again with the Museo Salvatore Ferragamo, for an exhibition about the creative adventure of a protagonist of Italy’s great industry.
